Rose enjoys studying the needs of a child and then being able to act promptly to meet them. She is excited to see the girls become more stable, focused and committed to school and the activities at 1moreChild. She enjoys working at 1moreChild – seeing the quick change of events from the girls being on the streets to becoming students. She sees the girls being appreciated for who they are and having their needs met as key factors in them being committed at school and working hard to achieve and having a sense of ownership which produces ‘stickability’ – a characteristic which is rare in the slum community.
