Monica is the house mother for the 1moreChild boys' home. She is a single mother of six children (4 boys and 2 girls). Providing for her children's basic needs has been her main challenge in life.

Before she joined 1moreChild Monica was a casual laborer working in gardens, restaurants and doing laundry for people. Monica enjoys interacting and playing with the boys and feels at peace knowing she earns a salary. She is working towards the boys becoming law abiding citizens and peacemaking.

Odong is the House Manager. He lives at the boys' house and is responsible for the day-to-day welfare of the boys. He liaises with the teachers, monitors health issues, runs the daily tutoring and provides encouragement and mentoring. Odong is the boys' main role model.

Odong grew up in Karamoja where he attended school until S4. For the last two years of school ( 'A' Levels) he was accepted into one of Uganda's top colleges. There he learned about leadership and mentoring principles.  Both his parents died in 1998. He has 4 brothers. Odong loves working with the disadvantaged and is planning to become a doctor.

Bosco has worked for 11 years with children at risk, particularly street children in Jinja. He lost both parents at a young age so he is a model of hope to the children around him. Bosco hopes to contribute towards building a focused, motivated and energized 1moreChild family, both staff and children, to serve their communities.
