“We have supported 1MoreChild from day 1 of Modo25 – when establishing a new business, we had an opportunity to embed a charitable purpose, alongside our ambitions to be a successful, profitable company. John and Bon already had an association with them and it seemed like a natural fit to continue to support that cause.

 

We have been able to send some of the team over to Jinja in order to help out with some IT set up and support twice in the last couple of years. When they’re returned, they’ve been able to share with the wider team the challenges that the kids face, along with the opportunities and the successes they’re having.

 

We are interested in providing opportunities to the people we work with, because it’s the right thing to do, so it seems natural to extend that out to a community of kids that have fewer opportunities than we’re fortunate to have. Hearing about the support the children give to one another and how important learning and progression is to them, is incredibly inspiring. We hold one-off charitable events, but the team are also able to donate via payroll, which makes it easy to help contribute directly to 1MoreChild.”
